No — but all 2-year-olds need a trial day first to make sure camp is the right fit. Email info@combocamps.com to arrange one.
We’d like all children to be potty trained, but we understand accidents happen. Email info@combocamps.com to chat it through.
Not at all — we love teaching kids to ride! First-timers join our balance-bike group, and confident riders are placed in a group that suits their ability.
Weather-appropriate clothes (we’re out rain, hail or shine), a nut-free snack and packed lunch, a water bottle and a hat — plus a bike with helmet, gloves and pads.
Kiddy Combo is an XC mountain-bike camp. Ideally a bike with two hand brakes and no coaster (back-pedal) brake, in good working order. No bike? We have a 20% discount link with Whistler Blackcomb rentals.
No — please pack a healthy lunch and snacks with no nuts or peanut butter. We’re a fully nut-free camp.
Monday to Thursday, every Kids Combo Camp heads to Whistler’s lakes for canoe, kayak and SUP with our trained paddlesport coaches. Fridays are different — it’s Friday Fun Day, with big camp-wide games and a Freezy Friday treat (no lake on Fridays).
Yes — our coaches are experienced and trained across mountain-biking, tennis and paddlesports, with first aid throughout.
A hat, swimwear, towel and water shoes, sunblock, a packed lunch and snacks, a water bottle, and weather-appropriate clothes — we’re out rain, hail or shine.
A mountain bike with hand brakes and gears (no training wheels or coaster brakes), a helmet, closed-toe shoes (no crocs or flip-flops), and a spare inner tube if you have one.
A tennis racket (or borrow one of ours free of charge), court shoes, a hat and sunglasses.
Just comfortable clothes, running shoes, a snack and a water bottle.
Watersports activities take place Monday through Thursday afternoons across all camps. The Adventure Combo camp includes a day hike adventure so campers may not attend the watersports activities on that day. We recommend packing lake items regardless as the groups may visit the splash pad to cool off on warm afternoons. On Fridays, Combo Camps hosts Friday Fun Day for all campers. Think group games, themed activities, sports, arts & crafts, and freezies for all!
Combo Camps has partnered with Whistler Blackcomb to offer a discount on rental bikes. To book, visit epicmountainrentals.com/partner and enter the discount code “combocamps”. If you plan to make a multi-day reservation, we encourage you to book at the Salomon location and mention you are a Combo Camps family for the option to keep the bike overnight (pending you have access to secure storage). Since some Whistler Blackcomb rental locations only open at 9 a.m., we recommend asking about picking up the bike the day before camp.
We accept campers from 13 to 18 years old.
Intermediate — you should be comfortable riding blue-level terrain.
Often, yes! Graduates who show real enthusiasm for working with children, initiative and leadership throughout the week may be invited to join us as an assistant coach over the summer.
